Our continuous investment in technology is one of our strengths. We are constantly introducing new products and machinery to ensure total traceability, seeking to perfect the management of each job. Being at the forefront based on our experience and know-how is what has allowed us to create our own unique system.

WHAT INNOVATIVE PROCEDURES DO WE CARRY OUT AT MURÚA COOPERAGE?

Our entire process is truly unique (not surprisingly, some parts of it have been replicated in other cooperages). We are constantly introducing new ways of doing things, creating positive change at every step, optimising it to get the best out of it. The whole cycle of barrel making is studied by us. We achieve this thanks to our full dedication, always maintaining an innovative and practical vision that helps us to be more efficient and, therefore, more sustainable.

For example: we dry the wood in a unique and differentiating way. We achieved this after having carried out a study with the INIA (National Institute for Agricultural and Food Research and Technology) to identify the best way to dry the wood in a natural way.

Another plus: we are the only cooperage in Spain that has a numerical control machine for the manufacture of staves. This allows us to reduce wood consumption and remain faithful to one of our goals, full sustainability.

And we could go on like this point by point, in every part of the production cycle. Moreover, thanks to being at the forefront and having modern machinery, we use resources in a more efficient way, looking after the environment, as well as the reuse of the material, converting wood waste into thermal energy with our technology.
