Tonelería Murúa commits to photovoltaic self-consumption.

Tonelería Murúa continues its commitment to sustainability with the installation of photovoltaic panels for self-consumption. This project is part of the incentive program for self-consumption with renewable energy sources, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union – Next Generation.

The solar energy generated will be used to power a significant portion of Tonelería Murúa’s operations, reducing dependency on non-renewable energy sources and contributing to environmental preservation.

A self-consumption system has been implemented through the installation of solar photovoltaic panels, achieving energy savings and a reduction of 65 tons of CO₂ emissions. The executed project consists of a 128.31 kWp photovoltaic solar installation with a 99 kW inverter, connected to the grid and mounted on the roof of the industrial facility. This system will generate electricity for direct self-consumption within the existing infrastructure.
