The Degree in Oenology has a large practical component, which is developed within the university’s facilities (experimental winery, experimentation fields, tasting room, laboratories, etc.) as well as in wineries, cooperages and other related industries.
Subjects such as viticulture, oenology, technology, engineering, chemistry and oenology microbiology are studied alongside others linked to management.
The visit to the cooperage includes a technical tour beginning in the wood park where the natural drying takes place and continues in the manufacturing plants, explaining Murúa’s different processes.
At the end of the tour, students, professors and the team taste the wines, which challenges the young professionals’ organoleptic knowledge.
