Around Rioja wine there is a whole universe of companies that support it and help to spread its image around the world. Labels, barrels, tanks, machinery, capsules… a whole conglomerate of professionals that a few months ago we have grouped together in the new Association of the Auxiliary Wine Industry of La Rioja, constituted and integrated under the umbrella of the Federation of Companies of La Rioja (FER).

Aware of the economic and employment importance of this industrial sector in La Rioja, at Tonelería Murúa we have not only joined this new association from minute one of its constitution, but our manager, Elena Ceca, has the honour of being its president.

«To make good wine you need good grapes, but the rest of the elements that accompany the process must also offer the highest quality; this is precisely the aim of the new association: to reinforce the quality of Rioja wine», explains Elena Ceca.

Furthermore, adds the president of the new association, this union can create very interesting synergies among the associates, which will expand our business possibilities, as well as better training for everyone.

To this end, the business organisation will promote actions and projects that favour the dynamism of the sector and its member companies on a national and international level, creating a strong brand image that will benefit the association and its companies.

Currently, the Association of the Auxiliary Wine Industry of La Rioja has 25 member companies, including manufacturers of capsules, cooperage, tanks, machinery and equipment, packaging, labelling, chemical industry applied to wine, software and digitalisation, water management and environmental services applied to wine.

The association is open to the incorporation of new companies and activities. In addition, companies that are not based in La Rioja can join, although they will not have a seat on the board.

Board of Directors

The board of directors of the Association of the Auxiliary Wine Industry of La Rioja is chaired by Elena Ceca (Tonelería Murúa).

As vice-presidents, Juan Núñez (Marrodán y Rezola) and Miguel de Valenzuela (Agua, Energía y Medioambiente, Servicios Integrales (AEMA).

The rest of the board of directors are María Teresa Pérez (Dolmar Productos), Diego Fernández (Etilisa-Etiquetas Lisa), Jacobo Lousas (Intranox), Álvaro Sendino (Digraf) and Antonio Vargas Montoya (Envases y Embalajes de Madera).

Sheila Argáiz was in charge of the general secretariat.
